E.ON used Planview ProjectPlace’s Projectplace to coordinate the construction of the Rödsand 2 offshore wind farm, a complex international project involving about 20 E.ON staff, roughly 10 suppliers and some 80 total parties across Sweden, Denmark and Germany. The challenge was to keep thousands of documents, drawings and meeting schedules in sync across suppliers, consultants and employees while avoiding heavy administrative overhead and unnecessary travel.

Planview ProjectPlace delivered the Projectplace collaboration platform so everyone had shared, language-local access to documents, calendars and tasks, making onboarding simple and reducing administrative burden. The solution streamlined communication and cut travel for online meetings, helping E.ON save substantial time; the Rödsand 2 wind farm now comprises 90 turbines (207 MW), will power some 200,000 households and avoid about 700,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Planview ProjectPlace’s platform was credited with simplifying project work, improving visibility of supplier activity and reducing paperwork.
