Campus Åre, a Swedish vocational school that trains event and winter‑sports managers, faced inefficient, paper‑based project methods while planning large external events like the Alpine World Cups. To modernize collaboration and support distributed work across campus and the slopes, Campus Åre adopted the cloud project‑management and collaboration solution Planview ProjectPlace.

Planview ProjectPlace was deployed as a central document vault, project overview and digital kanban system with full mobile access, enabling students and volunteer leaders to update tasks in real time from the slopes. The result was reduced paper use, quicker handovers, improved onboarding and live client visibility—students now use Planview ProjectPlace to help manage the Ski Cross World Cup involving about 400 people (20 students and ~100 volunteers)—and the tool has strengthened project evaluation and readiness during students’ 10‑week placements.
