UK’s Nuclear Threat Reduction Customer resets transformation with Project One after 18-month review and 14 recommendations

The customer, supporting the UK’s nuclear threat reduction, faced a challenge in transitioning from a drawing-centric to a part-centric way of working. This complex transformation programme required adopting industry standard design and manufacturing processes to improve information flow and reduce errors. Project One was brought in to conduct an independent review of the 18-month-old programme.

Project One provided an independent review using the Cabinet Office’s 7-lenses framework, which resulted in 14 recommendations and an action plan to reset the delivery. Subsequently, Project One was asked to lead the transformation, bringing a single team ethos and a focus on outcomes. The programme was successfully reset and put back on track, ultimately helping to keep the nation secure.
