The customer E.ON faced the challenge of building acceptance for a new 400 MW gas-fired power plant in Malzenice, Slovakia, and needed to establish a long-term relationship with the local community. PROI Worldwide's agency implemented a solution that involved identifying and approaching key stakeholders, chairing a sponsoring committee for community projects, and acting as a mediator. This intensive communication effort resulted in the project's acceptance by the local community and the establishment of trust with E.ON as a long-term partner. At the national level, the power plant was recognized as a major investment in Slovakia's energy sector.
