Cognizant, an organization with over 2,100 users, was looking for a method to analyze and identify its paid software license usage. The challenge was to optimize the use of surplus licenses to achieve significant cost savings for the organization. With ProHance's functionality for tracking individual software usage, Cognizant configured its paid applications and gathered data. This process, supported by employee counseling, identified licenses with no or low usage. As a result, ProHance helped Cognizant save $4.3 million by releasing 103 unused licenses, which represented 47% savings on their license costs.
