SanDisk, a global leader in flash memory storage, needed to replace inefficient, spreadsheet-driven planning processes with a custom application that could support long-range forecasting and integrate with SAP. Progress Software helped deliver a browser-based application built in just three months that automated planning and forecasting, migrated Excel data into SAP HANA, and enabled charts, reports, sandbox forecasts, and what-if analysis. The result was a 30% reduction in development effort, faster forecasting workflows, and a successful July 1 launch with strong user adoption due to the app’s responsiveness, data accuracy, and multi-browser support.
