BRAAS, a large U.S. distributor of industrial automation products, needed a way to keep ERP data safely isolated while still enabling near real-time reporting and analysis without slowing down its production system. The company also wanted a flexible solution that could work with third-party BI and analytics tools, so it turned to Progress Software and Progress OpenEdge Pro2 data replication.

Progress Software implemented OpenEdge Pro2, and BRAAS was up and running in just a couple of weeks after a previous approach had taken months without meeting requirements. The solution delivered real-time reporting, protected ERP performance, and gave the team freedom to use its preferred tools; report creation and modification time dropped to about one-third of the previous time, and management now gets faster access to more data.
