Paylocity Develops Cross platform, Self-Service Payroll App in Half the Time with Progress

Paylocity, a payroll and HR solutions provider, needed a fast way to build a mobile employee self-service app that would work across devices and give users access to payroll and HR information on the go. To meet that challenge, Paylocity turned to Progress Software and its Kendo UI and Telerik Platform tools to avoid building separate native apps and to leverage its existing HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript skills.

Using Progress Software’s cross-platform development tools, Paylocity launched Android and iOS versions of the app with a native look and feel in less than half the time of a traditional approach. The solution also cut deployment time by more than 50 percent and enabled customers to view paychecks and request time off from their smartphones, with plans to expand to tablets and Windows devices.
