OSIV-Pool modernizes case management for 1,350 users with Progress Software

OSIV-Pool, a major Swiss disability insurance organization, faced the challenge of updating its entire infrastructure to meet new government requirements while remaining fully operational. Their existing OpenEdge-based client-server application could not efficiently cope with future challenges like cloud computing and mobile devices. They partnered with vendor Progress Software to modernize their application without sacrificing their prior technology investments.

Progress Software implemented a solution by modernizing the OpenEdge platform and its business logic, developing a new flexible web application called OSIV 3G. This enabled both on-premises and cloud operation with full security features. The project was delivered successfully over four years while the organization remained completely online, with the new application enjoying a high level of acceptance from its user base.
