Organi Logistics System Refines Distribution Processes for Atlas Copco PTD

Atlas Copco PTD, part of Atlas Copco, needed a better way to manage complex distribution logistics across 110 countries and more than 60,000 stocked items. Its existing customs declaration process was costly and lacked bonded warehouse functionality, creating risk of duplicate duties and VAT. The company chose Progress Software’s Progress OpenEdge-based OLS Customs solution from partner Organi to modernize customs and shipment processing.

Progress Software helped Atlas Copco PTD implement OLS Customs in phases, adding automated PLDA/NCTS declarations, intelligent stock allocation, audit trails, and monthly reporting. The result was smoother, more flexible operations, reduced tax and duty costs, and elimination of daily customs declarations; the company said the system “ultimately pays for itself” and now runs “smoothly and stably.”
