NASA Taps into New Audiences with Progress

NASA needed a better way to organize, contextualize, and present the growing volume of Mars rover data for scientists and public users. Working on the Analyst’s Notebook web application, NASA’s Planetary Data System team sought help from Progress Software and its Progress Telerik product suite to improve development efficiency and make the data easier to explore.

Progress Software implemented Telerik Ultimate Suite to provide the framework and tools needed to scale the Analyst’s Notebook, speed up development, and improve navigation and usability. The result was faster data publishing, a more intuitive experience for both scientists and citizen users, and a lean team that could do the work of roughly three developers for every one using Telerik, significantly slashing development time.
