A Progress Software Case Study
Michigan Colleges Online, an initiative serving Michigan’s 28 community colleges, needed to build a new three-tiered web service for registration, data services, and administration for online education. Its team wanted to replace clunky legacy interfaces with an app-like experience and manage complex registration workflows across multiple colleges. Michigan Colleges Online used Progress Software’s Kendo UI framework to get the robust widgets and grid functionality it needed.
Progress Software helped Michigan Colleges Online implement Kendo UI Grid, scheduler, and other controls to model workflows, support registration, and connect efficiently to backend systems. The result was a fast, reliable, and user-friendly site completed in less than nine months, serving about 185 backend users and thousands of students. The solution improved UX, sped development, simplified data connectivity, and enabled better performance than the legacy system.
