International Energy Services (IES), Australia’s leading transporter of oil, gas and bitumen, needed to improve efficiency and profitability while staying compliant with strict OH&S and environmental requirements as it pursued growth. To replace a legacy DOS-based system, IES turned to Progress Software’s OpenEdge-based Freight2020 logistics management solution, delivered through CMS Transport Systems.

Progress Software helped IES automate scheduling, financial management, invoicing, and complex billing rules across its operations. The solution improved accuracy and customer service, reduced invoice disputes, and saved more than 85% of administrative time in the first five months of handheld use, with over 15,000 manifests processed and data flow to customers at least doubling through EDI.
