Dialog Axiata enables custom apps in 1/6 the time with Progress

The software consultancy Kingslake partnered with Progress Software to address a technological disadvantage faced by small and medium-sized businesses in Asia. Their challenge was to enable these companies to rapidly develop sophisticated web and mobile applications, a capability previously only affordable for larger competitors, without requiring coding skills or major infrastructure investment.

Kingslake built its SmartApps.lk platform using the Progress Rollbase rapid application development (RAD) platform, hosted locally with telecom partner Dialog Axiata. The solution from Progress Software allowed clients to create custom applications without coding, achieving development in one-sixth the time and at one-tenth the cost of comparable commercial software. This resulted in successful applications for local businesses, such as a workforce transportation management system, and adoption by educational institutions for teaching RAD.
