Daily Nanny App Developed in Half the Time with NativeScript

Daily Nanny, a childcare app from Cubby Notes, needed to move beyond its original web-based daycare tool and launch a mobile experience for nannies and parents. The challenge was to build native iOS and Android apps quickly, even though the team had limited mobile development experience. Progress Software’s NativeScript was selected to help deliver that app, called Daily Nanny.

Using Progress Software’s NativeScript, the team built the cross-platform app from a single codebase and reused existing JavaScript and CSS skills. The result was a faster development cycle with native performance out of the box, and the iOS version launched first with Android following soon after. Dave Coffin said the iOS app would have taken “five times longer” to build with Xcode alone, showing a major time savings for Progress Software’s solution.
