A Progress Software Case Study
D-reizen, Holland’s largest independent holiday retailer, needed more speed and flexibility in managing complex website payment rules while staying competitive with travel deals. Its existing home-grown system required frequent code and website changes for every rule update, slowing promotions and creating friction with business and IT teams.
Progress Software implemented Progress Corticon, a business rules management system that separated payment rules from application code so non-technical staff could update them without recoding. As a result, D-reizen cut rule-change time from about five days to a few hours, improved agility for new offers, and reported the system had been stable for four years.
