The City of McAllen, a growing government leader in Texas, needed a more centralized website after its old site left content updates to a single developer and made it hard for dozens of departments to manage pages and applications. Progress Software, using its Sitefinity CMS, was brought in to support a new .NET-based solution that would fit the city’s Microsoft environment and improve content workflows.

Progress Software implemented Sitefinity to give the city a centrally managed website with department-level content submission, review, and approval processes. The result was a user-friendly, searchable site with features like search, RSS, and a calendar, while legacy applications were replaced with easier-to-manage modules. The city also gained faster updates, better accuracy, and improved compliance through Workflow and page history support.
