Carego International, a social-impact healthcare organization serving underserved communities in countries such as Kenya, Indonesia, Vietnam, Egypt, Pakistan, and India, needed a simple, reliable way to build an electronic health records and practice management solution for remote regions. Using Progress Software’s Progress Rollbase, Carego International built Carego Complete, an integrated cloud-based EHR and practice management application with offline capability, local payment flexibility, and strong customization. The result was faster development and better adoption, with Carego reporting it got to market at least 50% faster and could close business about 1/3 faster, while also improving productivity, reducing errors, and enabling safer, more personalized care in remote areas.
