Seamless Member Experience Drives 95% Increase in Users for the Association for Institutional Research

The Association for Institutional Research (AIR), which supports higher-education professionals, struggled with an unwieldy, legacy website built on SharePoint and custom databases that could only be edited in Internet Explorer, lacked mobile and accessibility support, and hindered member engagement and content management.

Working with Americaneagle.com, AIR rebuilt its digital platform using Progress Sitefinity CMS integrated with ACGI Association Anywhere and Higher Logic, delivering an easy drag-and-drop authoring experience, mobile-friendly navigation and seamless membership and community tools. The relaunch drove a ~95% increase in users (220,000 to 430,000), sessions rose from 460K to 750K, page views grew to 1.5M, bounce rate fell 8.3%, and the site’s flexibility allowed AIR to rapidly pivot during the 2020 conference outage.
