Kansas City Area Development Council Consolidates and Modernizes Online Presence with Progress

The Kansas City Area Development Council (KCADC), a non-profit promoting economic growth across the 18-county Greater Kansas City region, struggled to maintain a consistent online presence while managing five separate websites on different platforms. With a small staff and more than 250 investor-members, KCADC needed to unify its branded initiatives, enable timely in-house content updates, and reduce reliance on third-party developers.

Working with Progress partner Triple-I, KCADC consolidated its sites onto Progress Sitefinity CMS using multisite functionality and integrated proprietary investor, real estate and employer databases. The result was the launch of thinkKC.com: a modern, mobile-responsive site that empowers staff to create custom pages and profiles, accelerates updates, strengthens the brand, and eliminated roughly $40,000 per year in third-party development costs.
