City Bank Takes Mobilefirst Attitude, Ups the Customer Experience with Progress

City Bank, a Lubbock, Texas community bank with more than 20 branches and over $2 billion in assets, needed to replace an aging, proprietary website platform that lacked a responsive mobile experience and forced the bank to rely on its CMS vendor for content changes. The outdated system slowed time-to-market for marketing campaigns, complicated navigation and limited features—prompting City Bank to pursue a mobile-first, customer-focused overhaul.

Working with Smooth Fusion, City Bank rebuilt its site on Progress Sitefinity CMS, delivering a responsive design, improved search and a simplified online loan application, plus staging, drag-and-drop content tools, analytics and personalization (used in its Community Rewards program). The new platform gave marketing teams control of content, dramatically reduced update times, improved customer experience and demonstrated robust scalability during high-traffic events.
