Why Desca Chose WhatsUp Gold

Desca, a multinational engineering, networking and telecommunications company in the Spanish Amper group, operates in 22 countries from a Regional Operations Center in Colombia and provides 24/7 multilingual support to clients in banking, petroleum, government, energy and manufacturing. After trying several monitoring tools that suffered from low performance and complexity, Desca needed a reliable, easy-to-manage platform to monitor networks more efficiently and anticipate problems before they affected client productivity.

Desca implemented WhatsUp Gold as a distributed 2,500-node deployment with remote licenses plus Network Traffic Analysis, VoIP monitoring and Log Management, enabling a 30-engineer team to monitor roughly 1,900 devices and deliver timely alerts, incident handling and management reports. The solution delivered stable, reliable alarms, faster resolution times, minimal support overhead and a strong cost/benefit, improving engineering efficiency and client collaboration (notably with Grupo Aval and Movistar Venezuela).
