VIVA Health Demonstrates Regulatory Compliance with MOVEit

VIVA Health, a large health maintenance organization insuring over 100,000 people, struggled to securely exchange high volumes of Patient Health Information (PHI). Their file-transfer environment relied on error-prone DOS scripts across 13 secure servers and more than 200 scheduled jobs—many running every 15 minutes or faster—making scheduling, auditing, and HIPAA-compliant logging time-consuming and risky.

VIVA Health implemented MOVEit (MOVEit Automation, MOVEit Cloud and MOVEit Ad Hoc Transfer) to automate scheduled workflows and enable secure person-to-person transfers. The solution eliminated about 75% of manual file-transfer work (saving roughly two FTEs), provided secure ad hoc delivery via email/Outlook, improved dynamic scheduling and error reporting, and enabled full HIPAA and privacy-act compliance.
