Swissport, the world’s largest ground- and cargo-handling services provider with 62,000 employees across 48 countries, needed to consolidate a fragmented IT landscape and replace older FTP workflows with a secure, auditable, delay‑free file transfer system. The company required SFTP support, end-to-end logging and automation to reliably exchange sensitive flight and baggage data between partners without transfer delays or data loss.

Working with partner QBITS and an IaaS provider, Swissport implemented Ipswitch MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Automation on virtual machines. The rollout was quick and straightforward, with three staff trained and the first tasks running immediately; today Swissport runs 122 active automated tasks and transfers about 133,000 files per week via MOVEit. The platform eliminated outages, provided robust, auditable transfers, accelerated new file-based processes and is now Swissport’s standardized enterprise file‑transfer solution.
