The Schindler Group, a global leader in elevators and escalators, needed to standardize and secure file transfers across its European sites after a corporate consolidation. IT faced two key challenges: replacing an outdated, insecure FTP protocol to meet compliance and replacing unreliable, script‑based production file transfers that caused frequent machine downtime.
Working with partner QBITS, Schindler deployed Ipswitch WS_FTP Server for secure transfers and MOVEit Automation for centralized, auditable process management. The three‑server installation and two‑day rollout delivered automated workflows, proactive monitoring and alerts, faster fault detection, and full compliance—significantly reducing outages and boosting production and administrative reliability.
