Saudi Arabian Glass Company (SAGCO) helps ensure unbroken output of glass products with WhatsUp Gold

Saudi Arabian Glass Company (SAGCO), a major glass-container manufacturer based in Jeddah, runs a highly automated plant producing about 1,000 tons of glass bottles daily across 16 network distributions. To keep industrial machinery, warehouses and offices connected 24x7 during virtualization upgrades and IT consolidation, the small IT team struggled to quickly locate the root causes of switch and router failures that threatened production continuity.

SAGCO deployed WhatsUp Gold to monitor routers and switches, using layer 2/3 discovery and network traffic analysis to pinpoint failing devices and faulty cables, allowing organized replacements and significantly improved network performance and uptime. With the tool proving its value, the team plans to expand into bandwidth optimization and application performance monitoring—currently using only a fraction of WhatsUp Gold’s capabilities.
