Preparing Information & Network Technology Graduates for Day One Job Productivity with WhatsUp Gold

Manhattan Area Technical College (MATC), a two-year school in Manhattan, Kansas, prepares students for technologically advanced careers through its Information & Network Technology program. To ensure graduates are job-ready from day one, MATC needed hands-on exposure to real-world network management tools as part of its required Network and Capstone courses.

Ipswitch provided a WhatsUp Gold license that students use to discover, monitor and troubleshoot live networks (from ~20 devices in labs up to 100 in Capstone projects), configure alerts, and run realistic tests. As a result, students gain faster practical skills, greater confidence, and demonstrable competence — enabling many graduates to step directly into IT and network management roles after graduation.
