Manipal Hospitals Entrusts MOVEit® with Secure and Fully Automated Sensitive Data Transfer

Manipal Hospitals, part of the Manipal Education and Medical Group and one of India’s largest hospital networks (4,900 beds serving ~2 million patients annually), faced a time-consuming, manual file-transfer process. IT staff had to manage large volumes of sensitive patient data across roughly 200 users with extensive per-user setup, creating administrative bottlenecks and raising concerns about secure, auditable data exchange.

The hospital implemented Ipswitch MOVEit to automate and encrypt file transfers, simplifying setup and integration across departments. MOVEit now handles hundreds of transfers daily (100–200 today, projected to ~1,200), reduced administrative tasks by about 85%, meets internal security and audit requirements, and is being expanded via API to deliver medical and lab reports to thousands of patients.
