A Progress Case Study
Kendal Corporation is a nonprofit senior care organization with 10 active facilities (and one in development) serving more than 1,200 users across eight states. As the company grew, IT increasingly learned about outages and issues only after staff reported them, so Kendal needed a way to move from reactive firefighting to proactive network monitoring to protect critical services like electronic medical records, HR and payroll.
By re-engaging Ipswitch Professional Services and fully deploying WhatsUp Gold—including Configuration Management and Network Traffic Analysis—Kendal’s four-person team now uses automated email/SMS alerts, configuration-change notifications and traffic insights to find problems before users do. The solution streamlined visibility across virtual and physical servers, switches, routers and firewalls, helped locate spyware through abnormal traffic, and delivered improved reliability and security that Kendal expects to rely on long-term.
