A Progress Case Study
Korea Investment Savings Bank (KISB) is a financial institution serving SMEs, entrepreneurs and individuals (about 28,000 deposit and 35,000 lending customers). As the bank grew, its infrastructure became increasingly complex—more partners, devices and locations—while monitoring covered only critical systems, making root-cause identification slow and exposing the business to costly downtime.
KISB implemented Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold with Vinetech to centrally monitor 29 servers, 164 network devices across the head office and 11 branches, external links, environmental sensors and packet flows. The unified dashboard, Flow Monitor and mobile alerting cut fault identification from 20+ minutes to instantaneous, eliminated twice-daily manual inspections, freed staff for higher-value work and delivered near-continuous 24/7 availability; the bank plans to expand into application and database monitoring next.
