A Progress Case Study
Freehold Regional High School District (FRHSD), which serves more than 11,000 students across six high schools in a 200‑square‑mile area, faced a decentralized, hard‑to‑manage IT infrastructure with no network management software. Network administrators struggled to monitor performance, pinpoint issues, and maintain uptime across the district, creating an urgent need for centralized visibility and control.
Following TransNet’s recommendation, FRHSD implemented WhatsUp Gold Premium with all three plug‑ins and received configuration and training from TransNet. The centralized NOC and alerting let IT rapidly detect and resolve problems, while NetFlow Monitor uncovered and stopped recurring unauthorized bandwidth usage at one school—immediately improving network performance, uptime, and overall operational control.
