CENIT AG, an IT consulting and software specialist serving clients like BMW and Allianz, needed a secure, user-friendly way to exchange large project files with customers and ensure download access was automatically revoked after use. Their legacy FTP setup lacked security and self-service administration, creating compliance and usability problems across divisions.

CENIT replaced FTP with Ipswitch MOVEit (MOVEit Transfer and MOVEit Ad Hoc), implemented in two phases with reseller support and rolled out within weeks. The new solution secures and logs transfers, integrates with Outlook, auto-deletes download accounts, and handles about 50–60 GB/month; departments now self-manage accounts, customer satisfaction is higher, and IT intervention has been greatly reduced.
