Capita Total Document Solutions (TDS) is a UK-based provider of large-scale scanning, storage and document management services for government, banks and commercial clients. Facing rapid growth and increasingly frequent digital mailroom transfers — often as often as every ten minutes — TDS needed a more robust, resilient and fully auditable way to move highly sensitive data across multiple sites without risking interruption or repudiation.

TDS implemented Ipswitch MOVEit (Transfer and Automation) on on‑site servers with a fallback server, automatic reconciliation/handshake and central governance. The platform meets client security standards (including CoCo, PCI DSS and FSA requirements), handles peaks of ~150,000 documents/day (about 1 million/month), eliminated manual checks, delivered cost savings and rapid ROI, and was fully operational and self‑sufficient within four months.
