A Progress Case Study
BraunAbility, founded by Ralph Braun to improve mobility for people with disabilities, needed a reliable way to share large proprietary drawings, manuals and other sensitive files across engineering, dealers and international teams. Before adopting a file-transfer standard the company relied on email and ad-hoc methods (including burning CDs), which caused bounced messages, security risks and heavy administrative overhead.
Braun selected Ipswitch WS_FTP for its ease of administration and client usability plus strong secure-transfer features (SHA-512, SSL, encrypted credentials), multilingual support, event-driven alerts and automated backups. The result was streamlined, auditable and compliant file exchange—fewer resends and help-desk calls, broader adoption by legal, engineering and global dealers, and a foundation to expand secure, encrypted access to drawings and manuals.
