Bottler Gains End User and IT Team Productivity with Network Management

Sibeg, the authorized Coca‑Cola bottler in Sicily, was operating without a centralized network management solution and relied on manual, reactive monitoring. With 200 head‑office staff and 80 remote salespeople dependent on applications like SAP, their ICT team struggled to prevent outages and ensure timely access to critical systems such as the document management and lot‑tracking interfaces.

In 2005 Sibeg implemented WhatsUp Gold to automate monitoring of servers, WAN links and Cisco wireless infrastructure and to track services, disk space and SAP–LTS communications. The result was faster, proactive detection and remediation, higher uptime and end‑user productivity, and greater ICT efficiency through a single control point, predictive analysis, targeted alerts and flexible, license‑free monitoring — freeing staff for strategic work and improving service to customers.
