Alnatura Chooses Ipswitch IT Monitoring

Alnatura, a German organic food retailer with about 2,700 employees, more than 100 own stores and nearly 15,000 trading partners across Europe, faced growing IT complexity as its business expanded. The IT team could only detect network problems after they occurred and lacked a central way to evaluate performance, creating risk of overload-related outages and limited visibility across store devices from cash registers to scales.

Alnatura implemented Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold—selected for its SME focus, flexible licensing and proven track record—and had the system up in about half a day. WhatsUp Gold now monitors roughly 2,000 terminals (servers, routers, switches, POS devices, scales), tracks availability, disk/RAM/CPU and network bandwidth/latency, provides early alerts, and has eliminated overload-related server crashes while improving response times, workflow and overall management of business data.
