Gap Inc. strengthens emergency readiness with Program-Ace’s browser-based training simulation

Gap Inc. sought a standardized, scalable way to prepare its varied workforce across retail stores, offices, and distribution centers for emergency threats. The challenge was to create realistic training that built genuine readiness without relying on fear, and to deliver it to a diverse workforce without the need for specialized hardware or fixed classroom times. Program-Ace was engaged to develop a virtual training solution.

Program-Ace built a first-person, browser-based active threat simulation based on the Run, Hide, Fight methodology, deployable on desktop and mobile with no headset required. The threat-agnostic simulation featured environment-specific scenarios and outcome-based scoring with LMS analytics. This provided Gap Inc. with one consistent, measurable training tool across all facility types. According to industry benchmarks cited, such immersive training can lead to training up to 4x faster than in the classroom and increase confidence by 275%.
