Pregnancy Resource Center (PRC) of Athens County is a small nonprofit that offers free, confidential education, resources, and medical services to support people facing decisions about sexual health, pregnancy, and parenting. Supported by local donors, the center operated only on select days and relied on paper records, which forced providers to be on-site for charting, scheduling, prescription refills, and patient communications—creating delays, limited access, and administrative burden.

Implementing PrognoCIS EHR streamlined charting and scheduling, introduced a patient portal, eRx, custom templates and reports, and automated reminders. The result: improved provider–patient communication, reduced costs and no-shows, the ability to see roughly twice as many patients, more time for clinical care, and plans to expand clinic days and pursue Medicaid credentialing—helping PRC better fulfill its mission.
