Winsupply, a long-time IBM i customer, needed to modernize its in-house WISE ERP application and make it accessible to sales teams working remotely. The company wanted to move beyond outdated green screen interfaces and provide real-time customer and product information on the road, especially on an iPad. Profound Logic helped address this challenge with Genie and mobile development services.

Profound Logic implemented Genie, a 5250 web-enablement solution, to create WISE on iPad with touch support, searchable fields, and mobile access over wireless connections. Winsupply also added a self-service registration app to streamline onboarding and session tracking. The result was a successful pilot by summer 2012 involving around 230 employees at about 150 local companies, giving field users faster access to account data, pricing, stock, and error correction while improving productivity and customer service.
