Trimble, a provider of transportation software for IBM i (AS/400) Power Systems, needed to modernize its green-screen interfaces, which limited functionality and made training younger employees more difficult. To upgrade the front end of its Innovative®, TL2000®, and TMT product lines, Trimble turned to Profound Logic and its IBM i modernization tools, including Profound UI.

Profound Logic helped Trimble web-enable its applications using Profound UI’s Visual Designer, DDS Conversion, RPG Open Access handler, Genie, and Atrium, along with custom development and mass conversion services. The result was browser-based interfaces with modern features like drag-and-drop, charts, interactive mapping, and mobile access, leading to very positive customer feedback, improved user satisfaction and retention, and new customers for Trimble’s hosted access offerings.
