San Diego Regional Center - Customer Case Study

San Diego Regional Center (SDRC), part of San Diego-Imperial Counties Developmental Services, needed a better way for service coordinators to access and update client information while working in the field. Their legacy SANDIS application required manual data entry back at the office, which was slow, inefficient, and prevented real-time access to sensitive case-management data. Profound Logic helped SDRC modernize the experience using mobile development on IBM i.

Using Profound UI and Profound Mobile, Profound Logic built secure mobile and web applications that let coordinators access client records, record notes, and work in real time from iPads and Android tablets, while keeping all data stored centrally in the DB2 database. The phased rollout to all 21 of California’s Regional Centers improved end-user efficiency, reduced human error, and enabled rapid enhancement based on user feedback.
