Kamik, a manufacturing and distributing company, needed to move beyond green-screen UIs, fixed-format RPG, and static desktop apps to better support users and changing business needs. Working with Profound Logic, the team explored modern IBM i tools to improve both application usability and development flexibility.

Profound Logic helped Kamik modernize with Profound UI, Profound Mobile, and Profound.js, along with REST APIs and fixed-to-free format RPG conversion. The result was Genisys 4, a web and mobile platform that gave sales reps iPad access to the product catalog and on-the-fly PDF generation, added analytics dashboards for key departments, and improved manufacturing efficiency through a custom mobile app. Kamik also used Profound Logic’s Node.js capabilities to integrate orders from Amazon, EDI, and Magento into ERP and WMS workflows, with seamless RPG and Node.js integration.
