Large Utility Company, a provider of smart technologies and services for water, gas, electric and lighting, began migrating utility applications to AWS and quickly faced a high volume of attacks on their new cloud infrastructure that required extensive manual response. As a long-term client, they engaged Proficio — leveraging Proficio’s managed detection and response capabilities (including its Active Defense automated response solution) to secure the cloud migration.

Proficio implemented CIS-aligned monitoring using AWS CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs and AWS WAF, centralized AWS and on‑premises logs, and expanded Active Defense to correlate events and automate responses across environments.
