Danfoss Climate Solutions, a division of the global climate and energy leader Danfoss, faced a challenge in efficiently integrating valuable test data from its RD&E labs. Their existing Ignition SCADA setup lacked a built-in method to stream data to Kafka, making it difficult to scale data integration for future research projects. They partnered with vendor Proekspert to find a practical solution that would not disrupt live production environments.

Proekspert developed a custom module for the Ignition SCADA platform, specifically designed for test environments. This solution enabled the streaming of data from multiple lab machines to a central Kafka system and provided an admin-configurable interface for easy management.
