Case Study: Upstream Mobility achieves scalable, cloud-native infrastructure with PRODYNA

A PRODYNA Case Study

Preview of the Upstream Mobility Case Study

Upstream Mobility Creating a reusable and cloud native infrastructure in the AWS Cloud

Upstream Mobility, a Vienna-based provider of a digital infrastructure platform for public transport, faced challenges with its on-premise hardware, including difficult scalability and insufficient availability. Their goals were to modernize this infrastructure, make all components modular and reusable across multiple cloud providers, and establish a transparent customer invoicing process. They partnered with PRODYNA to address these challenges.

PRODYNA implemented a cloud-native solution on AWS, utilizing Amazon EKS for container orchestration, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL for managed database services, and Terraform for infrastructure as code. This provided a highly available, scalable, and secure platform. The use of infrastructure as code significantly reduced time to market and improved traceability. As a result, Upstream Mobility now only pays for the resources it uses, and the AWS billing console greatly simplified the invoicing process for their customers.
