Case Study: norisk achieves automated, variant-merged product feeds for real-time site search with Productsup

norisk Exports Product Data to Real-time Search Display Provider

norisk, a Munich-based e‑commerce agency working for sport-schuster.de, faced two key challenges delivering product data to their site-search partner Celebros: brittle, database-dependent exports from the OXID shop system that required constant developer intervention, and complex multidimensional variants (color + size) that needed to be presented as parent items by color while preserving child-size availability. To address this, norisk used the Productsup platform to build a flexible, maintainable feed workflow.

Productsup acted as a middleware layer: OXID exports are combined into a master file, a composite id_parent_color is created, and Productsup’s “merge variants” service aggregates variants by parent+color; the feed is then mapped to Celebros’ template and pushed via an automated FTP export. The outcome (per norisk) is consolidated parent‑color search results with sizes listed in one field (e.g., six raw variant rows merged into three parent-color records such as 123_Blue → S;M), faster integrations, fewer developer edits, and simpler ongoing feed management thanks to Productsup.
