How Productsup Increased the Performance of Adobe’s Bid Management Algorithm

Adobe selected Productsup's product data management platform to optimize product feeds and improve PLA bid-management for its client Shopapotheke. Shopapotheke’s feed was not optimally structured, causing AdWords bid units to be clustered too broadly so products couldn’t be grouped by estimated revenue per click, which limited the accuracy of Adobe’s bid management model.

Productsup extracted and appended product price information to create more granular AdGroup structures (segmented into low, medium and high price tiers), which Adobe used via its ACM to build a new PLA structure. As a result, Productsup’s optimizations increased Adobe’s PLA portfolio model accuracy, brought expected revenue-per-click to an approximately equal level across bid units, improved sales forecast accuracy and enhanced overall PLA bid-management while enabling model transfer to bid units that previously lacked models.
