National Corvette Museum secures 110+ doors with ProdataKey

The National Corvette Museum, a major tourist destination safeguarding a valuable collection of Corvette automobiles and artifacts, faced significant security and logistical challenges with its outdated mechanical key system. To upgrade its security infrastructure and work toward industry accreditation, the museum partnered with vendor ProdataKey (PDK) to implement a new cloud access control system.

ProdataKey's solution involved a scalable, multi-phase installation of its PDK cloud access control system, which utilized a combination of Ethernet, PoE++, and WiMAC technologies to secure over 110 doors across the sprawling campus. The results were immediate and impactful; the security team gained the ability to instantly issue and deactivate credentials, eliminating the risk of 57 missing mechanical keys. The system provided enhanced security for the collection, streamlined operations with its user-friendly interface, and offered the flexibility to support the museum's future expansion plans.
