Texas Rocket Engineering Lab (TREL) is a University of Texas–Austin interdisciplinary lab building the Halcyon rocket and training the next generation of rocketeers. With 250+ engineers, $1M in funding and tight launch deadlines, TREL outgrew its spreadsheet-based purchasing—facing duplicate files, slow multi-level approvals, fragmented receiving across three locations, and time-consuming spend reporting to sponsors and auditors.

TREL implemented Procurify to create a single source of truth for purchase requests, approvals and receiving. The platform sped approvals, gave engineers real-time order visibility (including mobile receipt capture), simplified onboarding, and delivered instant spend dashboards—reducing manual reconciliation, eliminating lost orders, and letting the team focus on rocket design and testing.
