A Procore Case Study
Okland Construction, a family-owned general contracting and design-build firm founded in 1918 with a national presence, faced persistent friction between design and field teams: siloed information, unannounced on-site changes, and coordination gaps that caused costly rework and schedule delays. Bridging that divide and eliminating the “surprise” factor was critical to keeping projects on time and on budget.
By adopting Procore’s Models and Coordination Issues tools, Okland pushed coordinated models to the field, gave all stakeholders 24/7 access, and established clear, ball-in-court accountability with real‑time dashboards and automated notifications. The result was fewer change-related reworks, higher productivity, successful prefabrication workflows, and faster handovers—most notably completing the BioFire project two months early—while enabling effective remote coordination during the pandemic.
